After having acted in the teledramas, Pooja, Sudu Sela and Dedunu Palama, Oshadhi Hewamaddumage has made a name of herself by her outstanding performances in the drama field. However acting was far from her ambitions when she was growing up. “I became an actress by accident,” says Oshadhi.
Oshadhi who attended Visakha Vidyalaya as a student, never took part in any dance concert or stage drama while schooling.“Though I did not take part in concerts I liked dancing, which I did as a subject for my O/L,” she admits.
Commenting on the tele-series ‘Kawya’ in which she performed the character of Kawya, Oshadhi says, “It was a very innocent character just like the character Pooja which I acted for the teledrama ‘Pooja’. There is no difference performing a ‘ good ‘ character and an ‘ evil’ character”, she adds.
